Solar Battery Storage
Solar battery storage is becoming an integral part of renewable systems, allowing you to store otherwise surplus generation for usage in your property at a later time. The battery will also help to offset your loads in the property at times when the solar panels aren’t generating.
Which type of solar battery do you use?
We use lithium-ion batteries as they have a long lifespan and can store a large amount of energy.
Lithium-ion batteries are now much smaller with built in battery management systems which control the function and safety of the units.
Can I increase the amount of batteries and my storage capacity?
Yes, solar batteries can be stacked to increase the amount of stored capacity in the home.
This can be done during installation or at any time after installation if and when needed, say for example, if you bought an electric car or added an air conditioning system.
What’s the difference between a solar panel only system and a battery-enhanced solar system?
The main difference between the two systems is the ability to store surplus energy for future use.
When you make an enquiry we will perform calculations to show what the estimated difference in self consumption would be between PV only and a battery system.
