We work closely with Kent homeowners and local businesses to ensure we provide them with what’s best for their specific needs.

We understand that making the decision to install solar panels can be daunting, but there are many benefits.

Why install solar panels on your roof?

Solar panels generate electricity that you can use to power and provide hot water for your home or business, they have a number of key benefits:

  • Reduce your carbon footprint. Solar energy is a renewable energy source that does not produce any harmful greenhouse gas emissions, helping you to contribute to a cleaner living environment.
  • Save money on energy bills. Solar panels will save you a significant amount of money over the lifetime of the system.
  • Increase your independence from the national grid. Solar panels will help you become more energy self-sufficient.
  • Increase the value of your property. Recent studies have shown that houses with solar panels on their roofs sell for higher prices than those without.
  • Eligibility for government grants and tariffs. There are a number of government grants and incentives available to help homeowners install solar panels. These can help to offset the cost of the system and make it more affordable.

Why use US to supply and install your solar panels

We’ve been almost exclusively operating in Kent and the South East since we started and have built up a reputation for quality and exceptional service.

We’re proud to be a Which? Trusted Trader

Renewable technologies are our core business – we aren’t an electrical or plumbing firm doing occasional installations or a new business set up to exploit the tariff.

We believe distributed energy generation is an important part of a sustainable future and a vital step towards reducing our reliance on fossil fuels.

Our installers are trained to meet the highest industry standards and are fully accredited through the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) and are members of the RECC consumer code.

Whatever the project, there are a number of questions we get asked…

Do I really need a South-facing roof for solar panels?

While a South-facing roof is ideal, solar panels will work just as well if they are South-East or South-West facing.

And even East/West facing roofs can still be productive. If you’re unsure, please contact us and we will advise.

Are solar panels easy to install?

Solar panels are a relatively simple installation.

When we get access to your roof, we locate the main rafters and fix a bracket to them. The type of bracket used will depend on the type of your roof, whether it’s tiled or concrete.

Then the mounting rail is attached and the panels are clamped to the rail. Whatever we have to do to it, we always ensure your roof is weather tight again.

The solar panels themselves will provide an additional layer of covering to the roof to protect from weather and UV damage to the roof.

How much roof area space do I need for solar panels?

The solar panels available now come in a varying range of sizes meaning that we will always try to maximise the output of power from what roof space you have, by using the best panel to fit the space.

We will work with you to design a system that will fit with your lifestyle, budget and available space.

How long will my solar panels last for?

Most manufacturers will offer a 10 year product warranty accompanied by a 20 year output warranty, which means at year 20 it will not be less than 80% of its design output.

A 500W panel will not produce less than 400W at year 20. And this does not mean they will stop working past this but will continue to decrease in output for the years past 20.

How much maintenance will my solar system need?

PV is generally low maintenance and depending on the area, or vicinity of birds, occasional panel cleaning is advised – but only once or twice a year.

The industry recommends that every 5 years you should have a check carried out on the system cabling, and the fixings on the panels, to ensure the connections of the system remain safe and solid.

testimonials from homeowners & business owners in Kent

As complete novices in the domestic Solar installation business, my wife and I decided to search for a Which? Trusted Trader locally to tell us about systems and to look at our property and then to give us a verbal report on the possibilities open to us.

That first visit was very informative and a good dialogue followed. These people struck us from the outset as honest and trustworthy. They gave us a ballpark figure and agreed to follow up with a firm quotation.

The quotation was clear ( although we did ask a number of follow-up questions which were answered promptly) and a commitment was made to a date in about six weeks time. The organisation of scaffolding was made by Eternal Energy and that was erected on Saturday morning. Eternal appeared as agreed on a Monday morning, delivered all the items at that first visit and began work straight away.

The completion estimate was given for Thursday and by early that afternoon we were generating our own electricity!

We are now getting organised with a company to buy the surplus power from us! The original quotation is what we have been charged and the attitude with everyone has been helpful, friendly and open throughout the whole exercise.

We both feel that the service given by Eternal Energy Ltd has been second to none throughout and we have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking for the right solar solution.

Mike, Kent

Having decided to install a solar panel system, I considered a number of local companies as possible installers before choosing Eternal Energy Systems.

I was particularly impressed by the technical detail provided by EES on their website. Sustainable energy systems are complex but I was confident that, with EES, I was choosing a company with wide experience and the necessary expertise to offer the best possible advice.

The preliminary survey was very thorough and all my questions were answered. The installation of the system was prompt and efficient and this was followed up by a very detailed handover of the system on the following day.

I am confident that we now have an excellent system and I am particularly pleased that this includes the Solar Boost facility which will reduce our future hot water heating costs.

Peter, Kent

Eternal Energy Systems were one of many providers I spoke with regarding the installation of a thermal solar panel. They know their stuff, we’re easy to talk to and efficient. They knew exactly what I would need to get a green home to grant, and consequently, I got one quickly before the government withdrew them.

All the staff I dealt with over the two days of installation were pleasant and nice to have around and respectful of my house.

It’s early days with the solar panel, but having watched the care with which they installed I have every confidence it will work well and would recommend using them.
